IAA-IARI Awards -2026
The IARI Alumni Association (IAA) is pleased to invite nominations for the IAA-IARI Awards -2026, instituted to recognize excellence in research, teaching, and student achievement within the ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI) system. These awards celebrate outstanding contributions that uphold the rich academic and scientific traditions of IARI while encouraging innovation, excellence, leadership, and service.
New Close Date for Submission: September 30, 2026 (5.00 PM IST)
Mode of Submission: Submit a PDF copy of the duly completed prescribed Application Form by email to iari.iaa.1992@gmail.com.
Awards Open for Nominations
Best Researcher Award (One Award)
Recognizes an outstanding agricultural researcher for high-impact scientific contributions addressing:
- Food and nutritional security
- Climate-resilient agriculture
- Sustainable agriculture
- Improved productivity
- Enhancement of farmers’ income
Award
- Cash Prize: ₹1,00,000
- Plaque
- Citation
Eligibility
- Scientists of ICAR-IARI (including IARI Assam and IARI Jharkhand)
- Maximum age: 55 years
- Minimum 10 years of research contributions as an IARI scientist

Best Teacher Award (One Award)
Recognizes exceptional faculty members for excellence in:
- Teaching-learning
- Human resource development
- Student mentoring
- Community outreach
- Institutional service
- Educational innovation

Eligibility
- Faculty members of the Graduate School, ICAR-IARI and its institutes (ICAR-NIPB, ICAR-NBPGR and ICAR-IASRI)
- Minimum 5 years of full-time teaching experience
- Maximum age: 55 years

Best UG Student Award (Three Awards)
Recognizes outstanding undergraduate students demonstrating excellence in academics, research aptitude, leadership, and co-curricular activities.

Three awards annually:
- IARI, New Delhi (2026–2028 only)
- IARI Jharkhand
- IARI Assam

- Cash Prize: ₹50,000

Eligibility
- IARI undergraduate alumni
- Minimum OGPA of 8.0
- Strong academic performance
- Excellence in extracurricular and co-curricular activities
- Preference for demonstrated research aptitude
